The year 1987 marks the initiative taken by “DAMAYANTHI INDUSTRIES” a bold step, taking a great risk to venture into an unknown territory of business by producing all types of industrial & household brooms, brushes to meet the local market needs, under the trade name “DAMAYANTHI”.
With the result of various researches and commitments for a innovative quality range of products, “DAMAYANTHA INDUSTRIES” was accomplish in superiority of the quality and vision flourished by releasing the first FCL shipment with wide range of brushers and brooms to Japanese market in 1988. Ever since we have being supplying all types of coir relate products to various states in Japan being in no 1st place, holding 70% of the market share on finish coir product category in the Japanese market.
Since 1988, “DAMAYANTHA INDUSTRIES” took a further step, moving in to other market such as Korean and European while being in the Japanese market, innovating new products, identifying the potentials in market needs, while upgrading quality standards on existing product and service securing customer relationship and trust by means of our existing buyers.
The year 1997, assuming high demand and global expiation in coir products industry, DAMAYANTHA INDUSTRIES took a feather step B.O.I Approved by introducing “DAISEN INDUTRIES (PVT) LIMITED” registering as a Limited Liability Company and obtained the approval of Board of Investment to fiancé for new factory project along with modern equipments to use maximum technology to fulfill the needs of untouched markets such as USA and Gulf countries. Latter part in 1997, Production was started in our new factory with a guidance of newly appointed director bard, leadership of, hi skill Factory and Production Managers, Supervisors, quality controllers and well trained production staff in line manufacturing, both industrial and household types of brushes using plant wood, plastic handle and covers, brushers out of natural fiber, Coconut, Palmyra, Arenga, Sisal, Horsehair and Synthetic fiber, such as P.V.C, P.P. etc.

The year 1998, Company was flourishing and blooming to the maximum in coir product manufacturing Export category in Sri Lanka. As a result of sophisticated workmanship, the export development board and agriculture development board, in company with Board of Investment once again grant us permission to diversify our business onto agriculture development sector by introducing “DAISEN AGRI SOLUTIONS” in the year 1998.
Our factory situated within the coconut triangle in north central province in Sri Lanka and it’s Produced all types of COCO peat’s in 5 kg -10kg -15kg -20kg -& 25kg bales, Briquettes, disc and grow bags etc. manufactured using compressed dust of coconut husk, Husk chips, natural and rubber mixed coir pots, Geo log, Blankets, Geo fiber textile, Erosion control Blankets and nets, coir wattles and coir twines etc, At present we are in the process of setting up a coconut husk treatment and fiber production plant in north central province with ten acre land extend in order to produced high quality coconut fiber and dust for our manufacturing process of brooms, brushers, fiber twines and coco peat etc. [New project will commence in 2009]
